Join us for a day of shared faith at the Martin Luther King Memorial in Washington, DC as we walk to encourage others to break their silence. We are walking in honor of domestic violence victims. Meet us at 8am until noon on Saturday, October 8, 2016. Share your story to break the silence. It starts with you!

FWF Light The Night DV Walk

Join Fierce Woman Found Ministries' 7th Annual Light The Night Service in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We will be walking to bring awareness to the violence of domestic violence, sex trafficking, bullying and teen suicide. 

Grace Pumpkin Parade

Get dressed up for a great cause! Join Grace Smith House on October 30th in Poughkeepsie for our 1st annual Grace Pumpkin Parade and Costume Contest, when we celebrate the spookiest of seasons and raise money for our local domestic violence non-profit organization. October is Bullying Awareness Month, and we encourage costumed creepers of all ages to dress up in non-violent costumes, be inspired by each others creativity, have fun and be safe during Trick or Treat.
 

Stride Against Violence 5K Run/Walk

Apna Ghar’s Stride Against Violence is our annual 5k run/walk to commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The event is a family-friendly race open to all ages, serious runners and walkers alike. The event features live entertainment, food and drinks, and awards for runners and fundraisers. Give Back a Smile Virtual Race for Smiles

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation (AACDCF) is hosting its 4th annual virtual Race for Smiles. This national event is in observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and supports survivors of domestic violence regain their damaged smiles through the AACDCF's Give Back a Smile program. Between October 14-16, particpants all over the country will get active in support of Give Back a Smile. You can run, bike, do yoga...the choice is yours! 

Angels Against Abuse 5K Walk & Run

Join us for the 8th Annual Angels Against Abuse 5K (AAA5K) fundraiser to end domestic violence in our community! Hosted by and benefiting Guardian Angel Community Services Programs: Groundwork & Suzy’s Caring Place. The AAA5K is fun for the whole family (dogs are welcome, too)! We will have complimentary snacks and beverages, raffle tickets, prizes, awards, awareness items for sale, and more.

JCADA 5K Event: A Run, A Walk, AWARE

Purple Paw Project 2015

The 3rd annual Purple Paw Project will host a variety of pet-friendly activities along with domestic violence education and resources for our communities. This event will include Scavenger Hunt, Pet Costume Contest, Food trucks, Grooming, Kids Barking Contest, Doggie Photo Booth, Adoptions, Vendor Tables, and Awareness Information & Activities. Register yourself, your family, and your dogs for this festival!
